Meet Tracy

Tracy Riley

With a strong desire to help families live healthy, happy lives, Tracy has devoted her life to working with children and families.  This interest has been the driving factor behind her commitment to education both formally and by career experience.  Tracy earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from Florida State University after having already secured her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Auburn University. 

 

Tracy has become well versed in domestic and international adoptions.  She can answer all questions regarding the homestudy process and can assist you with starting in your adoption journey.  Before becoming the Founder and Executive Director for The Adoption Authority, Tracy completed numerous homestudies and post placement visits for several agencies throughout Georgia and Florida. 

 

Tracy is a dedicated professional who has worked with countless families regarding parenting concerns, including children with special needs, behavior issues, and developmental disabilities.  Detail oriented, Tracy has studied the dynamics of merging families and developed strategies and techniques to minimize the impact on children and parents.

Meet Thea

Thea comes to us with a graduate degree in Social Work from Savannah State University. She graduated at the top of her class and focused her studies in clinical practice and in working wth families and children.

 

Thea received her Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Eastern University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She currently lives in Southeast Georgia with her husband Lucas, daughter, Luciana, son Maximo, and Labrador, Bailey.  Thea is a home study writer and provides post adoption visits to families.

Meet Melissa

Melissa King has recently joined The Adoption Authority as an agency case worker who completes home studies in the Atlanta area. Melissa received a Bachelor’s degree from Stetson University in Psychology and completed her Master’s of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. She has a strong interest in working with children and families and has experience working with foster families, group homes, schools, and private practice counseling centers. She has also completed specialized training in early childhood development and now provides play therapy services for pre–school and elementary school children as well as parenting support and family therapy.  She has a passion and desire to see children and families thrive and is committed to assisting in the process of healing and growth.
